West Middlesex man charged with indecent assault on 11-year-old girl

A hotline created to prevent young people from becoming victims of violence has led to allegations that a Mercer County man molested an 11-year-old girl.
State Police say they began an investigation after receiving a tip on the Safe2Say Something website that a juvenile may have been a victim of sexual assault late last month.
Police identified the alleged victim as an 11-year-old girl from West Middlesex.
On Tuesday, police charged 29-year-old Louis Bendzak of West Middlesex with misdemeanor counts of indecent assault on a person under 13 and corruption of minors.
Bendzak is scheduled to answer to the charges in District Court on December 14.
Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” before it is too late.
