Warren Police are investigating shots fired into a house in the 3000 block Merriweather Street NW on the city's east side Tuesday.
 
According to the police report, a man was sleeping on a couch inside his house when several bullets entered his house from the street around 3:15 am.
 
The man told police that one of the bullets passed through the pillow that he was sleeping on.
 
Another bullet struck a cabinet in the living room, which was collected by police as evidence.
 
The man told police returned fire, as he had his 357 Magnum revolver next to him.
 
The victim said that the vehicle he shot at fled, turning onto Southern Blvd. Police took the gun for safekeeping until the victim spoke with detectives.
