Woman in jail, charged in connection with drowned child

A 31-year-old Youngstown woman has been booked into the Mahoning County Jail on charges filed following the drowning death of a two-year-old girl.
According to jail records, Adrianne Hudson was jailed Thursday on one felony count of involuntary manslaughter, and one misdemeanor count of child endangering.
The charges were filed in Youngstown Municipal Court after police said Londyn Cayson drowned on September 29 in the swimming pool of a Ridgelawn Avenue home on the city’s Westside.
According to a police report, Hudson was watching a family member's child and was talking to another relative when she noticed the child was missing.
It was estimated that the child was out of sight for approximately five minutes. The child was found inside the pool and officials say the girl was pulled out of a swimming pool and taken to the hospital but later died.
Hudson has yet to make a court appearance in the case.
