Full Spectrum Outreach held their 7th annual Transgender Day of Remembrance vigil this evening.

The group aims to create a safe space for the LGBTQ plus community-- and today honored those who died in violent acts.

The Human Rights campaign says 33 transgender and gender non-conforming people have been killed in the U.S. over this past year.

"I'VE SPOKEN AT SO MANY OF THEM AND I JUST WOULD LIKE TO NOT HAVE TO DO IT ANYMORE -- THAT WOULD BE NICE," Kage Coven, guest speaker at the event. "HOPEFULLY THAT SOMEONE OUT THERE SEE'S ME, SEE'S SOMEONE ELSE AND REALIZES THAT THEY'RE NOT ALONE AND THEY CAN DO THIS TOO."

Several speakers urged for non-violence and spoke on the current political climate and their opposition to anti-trans bills.
