GIRARD, Ohio - A Girard man who pleaded guilty multiple child sex crimes will potentially be spending the rest of his life behind bars with his first chance of parole after 10 years.

Twenty-three-year-old Jack Ziegler was sentenced to 10 years to life in prison on charges of rape and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Court records also show multiple charges of gross sexual imposition and compelling prostitution.

Ziegler had pleaded guilty to all of these charges and must now register as a Tier 3 sex offender.

According to an indictment filed back in 2022, the sexual conduct occurred between Ziegler and multiple victims who were between the ages of 12 and 13 at the time of the offenses.

These incidents went on between January of 2021 and July of 2022 when police were notified about the incidents. Ziegler eventually confessed these crimes to police.

Details on Ziegler's crimes are limited, but his indictment states that he had touched a 12-year-old boy's genitals and in some instances offered payment to both victims for these sex acts.
