STRUTHERS, Ohio - Struthers Middle School has announced on Tuesday that it has been recognized by U.S. News as one of the "Best Middle Schools" in Ohio.

According to a press release, this recognition is based on a comprehensive assessment that takes into account state proficiency tests and individual school performance while also considering socioeconomic demographics.

Schools were evaluated on the proficiency levels of their students in mathematics and reading/language arts.

Struthers Middle School Principal, Dave Vecchione says this achievement reflects the dedication of the staff, the hard work of the students and the support of the community.

"At Struthers Middle School, we are committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares students for future success," Vecchione said.
