'Grinch Who Stole Christmas' becomes real for Howland family

HOWLAND TWP., Ohio - The Grinch Who Stole Christmas became more than just a story for a Howland family over the weekend.
A woman tells police she returned from work Sunday morning to find the front door of her Genessee Avenue NE home forced open, and the house ransacked.
After calling the police, the woman went inside where furniture was overturned, and drawers had been pulled out.
Two TVs were missing, as well as her husband’s $500 flight simulator.
Also gone were about $300 worth of Christmas toys and birthday gifts meant for her child. The woman estimated their loss at around a few thousand dollars.
Police reviewed video from the home’s Ring camera and found that two men entered the home just a couple of minutes after the husband and wife had left for work.
The thieves spent nearly an hour in the house before taking their stolen goods out the front door.
Howland Township Police have posted images of two men wanted for questioning in connection with the heist.
Police are attempting to identify the men. They ask if you recognize either person, to contact the department at 330-856-5555 and ask to speak with a detective. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
