Smith Township man pleads not guilty by reason of insanity in murder case
According to authorities, the charges stem from the death of 44-year-old Gena Wade of Beloit.

YOUNGSTOWN - A defense attorney has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity on behalf of a Smith Township man charged with aggravated murder, murder, aggravated burglary, and violating a protection order.
The plea was submitted Tuesday for 31-year-old Nicholas Cunningham.
According to authorities, the charges stem from the death of 44-year-old Gena Wade of Beloit.
According to Smith Township Police, officers were dispatched to a home on the 18000 block of Courtney Road shortly after 3:00 p.m. on October 26 for a medical call.
Police found Wade, who was pronounced dead.
The next court hearing for Cunningham is scheduled for next month.
