SALEM, Ohio - Fresh Mark expansion in Salem will bring 50 new jobs to the city. 

According to a press release, Fresh Mark is set to break ground on a new 38,000 square foot operational expansion in Salem next month. The expansion provides space for upgraded packaging lines that support the workforce and product technology. 

The expansion will add 50 jobs to the Salem facility, bringing the total number of employees to nearly 800. Fresh Mark also plans to use local contractors for all elements of the expansion construction. 

"We are excited about the expansion of our Salem facility, "says Alicia Pucky, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility in a release. By continuing to grow and leverage production technology, we are ensuring that our location and our employees are set up for future success."

The expansion also includes a dedicated on-site employee medical center that opened in May. The medical center provides access to acute and primary care for all employees at little to no cost. 

New employee connection areas are also slated to be completed within the next eighteen months including new locker rooms and break/lunch areas that will include Fresh Mark's newest Market C concept in partnership with AVI Food Systems.
