Nearly 100 rally in support of mom who suffered miscarriage; grand jury declines to indict

As a bitter wind sliced through the trees on Warren's courthouse square Thursday, 34 year old Brittany Watts said she could feel the warmth of the roughly 100 people who gathered to support her.
Thursday, a Trumbull County grand jury returned a no-bill for Watts who had been charged with abuse of a corpse.
"Enormous relief," said Watts' attorney Traci Timko. "While I did fully expect the ultimate conclusion would be a no bill, I just didn't expect it to be today."
21 weeks along last September, Watts suffered a miscarriage at home.
Prosecutors say she flushed the remains, then plunged the toilet.
Watts' lawyer calls the case a teachable moment for both lawmakers and law enforcement.
"It is our position and apparently the grand jury agreed that this does not meet the definition of a corpse," Timko said. "Fetal remains under Ohio law are treated entirely differently than a dead body."
With the community behind her, at a rally that went from protest to celebration, Watts says the few words she spoke on this day won't be her last.
"...we are not done fighting....thank you so much!"
