Warren man avoids trial, takes plea after injuring juvenile by hitting him with motorcycle

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man plead guilty to charges from an incident where he hit a juvenile with his motorcycle in May of 2023.
Lyle Holton, 65 plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault, after a 12-year-old boy told police Holton hit him with his motorcycle.
Holton was allegedly riding his motorcycle with no shoes or shirt on when he corned a group of kids, accusing them of breaking out the windows of cars parked at his business.
A police report states that Holton admitted to police that he had purposely driven his Harley-Davidson Electra toward the child, who suffered leg injuries.
Holton was initially charged with a fourth-degree aggravated assault felony, but plead down.
The plea deal averted a jury trial that was scheduled this week before Judge Rice.
Holton also agreed to pay the medical bills of the victim.
