YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Youngstown State University Foundation held its first board meeting of 2024 this week and YSU's new president was in attendance.

According to the release from the Foundation, the University's president is invited to each regularly scheduled meeting to give a report to the Foundation.

The Foundation said they were pleased that President Bill Johnson made time in his schedule to understand the importance of the relationship between the YSU Foundation and the University.

The YSU Foundation says it recognizes the importance of working collaboratively alongside the University and will continue to work with them.

"We are focused on moving forward together with the new administration in order to support the growth and enrollment of our cherished institution," the YSU Foundation said in a statement.
