Firefighters from Trumbull County joined fire crews from all around Geauga County battling flames at a storage facility.

The Mesopotamia Fire Department was called out at around 2:30 a.m. Friday to L&S Development on the 10000 block of Kinsman Road in Newbury Township.

Dispatchers were first told that one storage unit was on fire. A second alarm was called in after the first crew on the scene found that the blaze had spread to adjacent units.

Shortly before 4:30 a.m., three more Trumbull County Fire Departments, Bloomfield, Farmington, and Southington were asked to bring water and manpower to help put out the fire.

Because of the number of fire trucks at the scene, Kinsman Road was closed between Auburn and Munn Roads, but has since reopened.

Newbury is sixteen miles west of Mesopotamia.
