WARREN, Ohio - Jury selection is slated to get underway Monday for a 78-year-old Warren man who could face a sentence of life in prison if he’s convicted of raping a 9-year-old girl.

The attorney representing Jose Gaetan has subpoenaed more than a dozen people to testify in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

The Trumbull County Grand Jury handed up an eight-count indictment last May, charging Gaetan with two counts of rape, five counts of gross sexual imposition, and one count of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

The charge comes after an alleged incident involving the girl at Gaetan’s Federal St NW home in February of last year.

A judge has ordered Gaetan to have no contact with the alleged victim.
