National Fuel has announced an adjustment to gas supply charges in Pennsylvania.

The company submitted its quarterly adjustment to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission as charges go into effect Thursday, February 1.

The adjustment lowers the bill for a person with an annual usage of 99,000 cubic feet of gas by $3.26, from $70.53 to $67.27.

According to the statement, National Fuel credits the rate adjustment primarily to the decreased cost of natural gas supplies.

Pennsylvania utility companies are allowed to update gas supply charges quarterly to match the changes in market price.

The next time National Gas can adjust supply changes is May 1, 2024.
