State Fire Marshals, Liberty PD investigating 'suspicious' fire in Liberty Township

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - State Fire Marshals along with the Liberty Township Police Department are currently investigating a "suspicious" fire that occurred Thursday morning.
Liberty Fire Chief Doug Theobald tells 21 News crews were called to a home on the 100 Block of Euclid Boulevard shortly before 5:30 a.m. for a reported structure fire.
Theobald says the homeowner reported that someone had splashed flammable liquid outside of their house.
While the house did sustain some exterior damage such as broken windows and damage to the porch, the fire was put out before it could reach the interior of the home and no injuries were reported.
Theobald tells 21 News that there have been previous incidents at this home allegedly involving an "ongoing dispute" between the homeowner and someone else, but it's unclear if these incidents are connected with this one at all.
In the meantime, the fire remains under investigation by Fire Marshals and police, who are both conducting interviews regarding the incident.
