21 News has obtained a copy of the body camera footage of the February 9 shooting of a Youngstown police officer.

The video shows two male officers riding in an unmarked patrol car at 8:06 p.m. on W. Ravenwood Avenue attempting to make a traffic stop of a white Jeep with three or four people inside.

As the officer makes a turn, the suspects shoot through the passenger side window.

The officers radio that shots were fired before the injured officer returns fire through the windshield of the car. He then tells his partner to back out of the pursuit, saying he was hit in the head somewhere.

The body camera shows a high-speed drive to St. Elizabeth Youngstown with the officer saying that he can't feel his arm, while the driving officer says he was hit above his eye.

The name of the injured officer hasn't been released yet.
