HADLEY, Pa. - A Mercer County man has entered a plea deal in a child rape case.

According to court records, 48-year-old Robert Hazen of Hadley pled guilty to a number of charges including rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, unlawful restraint of a minor, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, indecent exposure, endangering children, attempted indecent assault, escape and criminal use of communication facility.

He entered the plea deal on February 12.

As a result of this plea deal other charges against Hazen including additional rape, assault and corruption charges were dropped.

Hazen was arrested on a warrant in February of 2022 after police say he raped two victims who were both under the age of 16. He was found after fleeing to Arizona.

Hazen's wife Catherine (pictured above) was also accused of hindering officers' investigation in this case. Police say she was in communication with Hazen while he was away and at one point sent a message that allegedly read "Call me ASAP. That stupid detective called me and left a voicemail."

Hazen is scheduled to be sentenced on March 26.
