People using Toshiba laptop AC adapters need to watch out as they could be at risk for injury.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Dynabook Americas has issued a recall for 15.5 million adapters because they are prone to overheating and sparking posing burn and fire hazards.
An additional 1.3 million were recalled in Canada.
This recall involves AC adapters sold with Toshiba brand personal laptop computers as well as sold separately.
According to the firm, about 679 reports have been collected saying the adapters overheated, caught fire, melted or burned. Of these reports, 43 involved minor burn injuries.
