COLUMBUS, Ohio - Bond has been set at $4 million for the Columbus woman charged with murder after the body of her 5-year-old foster child was found in a drainage ditch in that city late last week.

Forty-eight-year-old Pammy Maye appeared before a judge in Columbus Thursday to answer charges of murder, kidnapping, and child endangering.

Additional conditions of Maye's bond include prohibitions against possessing firearms, and committing acts of violence, and she is not permitted to use drugs or drink alcohol.

Another court hearing is scheduled for March 1.

Police canceled an Amber Alert for Darnell Taylor early Friday after discovering the child's body in a ditch on the Southwest side of Columbus.

The alert was issued by police early Wednesday for Taylor, who was allegedly taken from his home shortly before 4 a.m.

Maye's husband told authorities that his wife told him that she had harmed the child.

She was arrested in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn still in the nightgown she was last seen wearing.

A preliminary hearing in Maye's case is scheduled for March 1 at 9 a.m.
