1999: Youngstown State University trustees name a 15-member panel of university trustees, faculty, administrators and students, as well as community members, to lead the search for a replacement for retiring President Dr. Leslie Cochran. Trustee Chairman Bruce Beeghly says trustees will follow the state’s Sunshine Law when determining what discussions should be held in private.
