Jury receives case of Campbell man accused in Youngstown homicide

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Closing arguments have ended in the case of a Campbell man who is accused in the shooting death of another man in Youngstown back in 2022.
According to court employees, the jury has now received the case of 47-year-old John Morgan who is accused of shooting and killing 46-year-old Daniel Peek in Youngstown back in July of 2022.
The incident occurred at a home on East Florida Avenue, where police responded for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located Morgan standing outside of the home with his hands up and an unloaded gun on the roof of a vehicle.
Peek was found wounded at the home, but he later succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital.
