'Barrage of gunfire' reported in Youngstown neighborhood, one house struck

Youngstown Police are currently investigating what witnesses describe as a "barrage of gunfire" outside of a Youngstown home early Wednesday morning.
According to a police report, officers were called to the intersection of Wilcox Street and South Hazelwood Avenue at 12:30 a.m. for multiple reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police found several spent shell casings in and near the street.
Police spoke to one witness who told officers she was sitting in her car when she heard "a barrage of gunfire" followed by seeing a black vehicle speed past her.
Police spoke to another witness who had two videos of the incident. Police say both videos showed the black vehicle traveling eastbound on Wilcox and firing shots out of the driver's side into the northbound side of the street.
Officers then spoke with a witness whose house was struck by the gunfire. Police say the house was struck near the front upstairs bedroom window where she was sleeping with her two children.
Police spoke with one more witness who had even more video of the incident. Police say this video showed individuals reaching into their pants and firing at the vehicle as it turned from Hazelwood onto Wilcox with the vehicle returning fire.
Police say the individuals then fled westbound while the vehicle continued eastbound. Police say the two parties are then seen shooting near the homes on the northbound part of Wilcox Street.
At this time, no suspects have been named in this incident.
