YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A car crash closed part of an intersection on Youngstown's south side Thursday evening.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Cain Street and Idora Avenue.

A pickup truck hit a utility pole in that area, causing it to fall onto wires across the street.

The pole was close to landing on the house there but the wires stopped it a few feet before.

It's unclear what led to the crash at this point.

According to the FirstEnergy outage map, the crash caused a power outage for at least 20 customers in that area.
