Youngstown State University hosted its 15th annual JA Titan Business Challenge on Tuesday.

Teams made up of high school students from across the Valley, as they worked to run the best simulated business, using an interactive program - "JA Titan."

There were also teambuilding challenges to help students get their strategies together ahead of the competition.

Organizers say the competition gives students a hands-on opportunity to learn about running a business.

"They get real-life experience on how to operate and run a business," Michele Merkel, Junior Achievement of Eastern Ohio President, said. "How to make everyday business decisions as an employer would and how to deal with employees in that business."

Student teams were paired with local business mentors for the first two rounds and even competed for cash prizes.

The winning team members took home $500 each.
