Youngstown City School District launches its very first podcast
The Youngstown City School District (YCSD) has just launched its very first podcast.
The podcast, titled "Belly-Left Leadership," is hosted by district superintendent Jeremy Batchelor and is recorded at Choffin Career & Technical Center and produced by Choffin students.
According to a press release, the podcast's name derives from a football play that requires a lot of preparation, planning and a true understanding of everyone's role.
The podcast has taken that philosophy and connected it to leadership focusing on understanding people's roles, focusing on the right things and being prepared to do those things.
"The Belly-Left Leadership Podcast is another way the district is staying connected to our families by informing them about the latest at the district and getting to know our educators and scholars personally," Batchelor said.
Batchelor went on to say he'll speak with local leaders about their leadership philosophies and how their organizations impact change in the Mahoning Valley.
The podcast will be posted monthly and is available on Choffin's YouTube channel.
The premier episode features guests including Choffin Director Dr. Michael Saville and Volney Elementary School Principal Kelly Weeks. You can listen to the episode for yourself here.
