Johnsonville recalls 35,000 lbs. of sausage that may contain rubber pieces

WASHINGTON - A recall has been issued for 35,430 pounds of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage that may be contaminated with rubber pieces.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that the turkey kielbasa sausages were produced between Oct. 30-31, 2023, by Salm Partners of Denmark, Wisconsin.
The recall involves 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages containing a single piece of "Johnsonville POLISH KIELBASA TURKEY" sausage and best-by dates "05/17/24" and "05/18/24" printed on the side of the packaging.
The products subject to recall bear the establishment number "P-32009" printed on the side of the packaging. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
The problem was discovered after the manufacturer received complaints from consumers reporting they found pieces of rubber in the ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa products.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions or injuries from people who ate the products.
FSIS is concerned that some of the products may be in consumers' refrigerators. Anyone who bought the products is urged not to consume them but throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
