Streetsboro Police blame 'impatience' for violent, deadly crash
Police are blaming “impatience” for a deadly, two-car crash that claimed the life of a Kent, Ohio man.
Streetsboro Police say the driver of a red Honda Accord crossed the double yellow line to pass other cars while approaching a hill along State Route 43 early Thursday, crashing head-on into a black Honda Accord coming from the opposite direction.
The victim, a 63-year-old man from Kent was pronounced dead at University Hospital. The other driver was transported by ambulance to Summa Health Akron, with significant injuries from the crash.
“The real cause of this crash appears to be impatience and stands as a strong word of warning to motorists that their actions have deadly consequences to innocent victims,” according to the police news release.
Police have not yet released the names of the victims.
