A Sharon man will be spending time behind bars for drug related crimes.

Zachariah Owens, 37, has been sentenced to 15 and a half years in prison for cocaine trafficking.

He was also ordered to serve six years of supervised release following the prison sentence.

Previously, Owens plead guilty to conspiring to distribute crack in 2021 and possessing cocaine and crack with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school or playground.

Owens was operating a trafficking operation from his home in Sharon, where several children lived.

Court documents say both his drugs and guns were in  easily accessible locations for the children to reach.
