Voters in Mahoning County overwhelmingly passed a renewal for the 5-year 0.75% sales and used Criminal Justice Tax.

The final vote was 60.14% for and 39.86% against.

The tax brings in just over $31 million, which accounts for about 81.2% of the criminal justice fund.

The county's Office of Management and Budget said there's nothing different about the levy from the last time it was passed.

The percentage rate is the same, and the funds still go toward paying for the Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, Coroner's Office, 911 Dispatch and the Prosecutor's Office.
