After being open for just two years, an Italian restaurant in downtown Youngstown will be making some big changes.

Tim Huber, a co-owner of Prima Cucina Italiana has confirmed that the Italian restaurant is expanding its operations via a Facebook post made Saturday.

Huber's post was also reposted by Prima's official Facebook page.

"TJL Properties welcomes Prima Cucina to Austintown as our Anchor Tenant," Huber said in a Facebook post. "Josh and team I am excited for the next chapter."

The new restaurant will be moving into the vacant space where The Upstairs Catering was in Austintown.

With the new expansion, some slight changes are coming to the current Prima Cucina in Youngstown.

The biggest change being the restaurant is slightly rebranding to Bar Prima. There will also be slight revisions to the menu, according to Huber.

Right now, it's not clear when work on the new location will begin.
