A Boardman business has launched a GoFundMe in hopes of staying open after losing one of its owners.

Kristin Sailor, the owner of Maggie's Magic Muffins, launched the fundraiser two days ago with a $50,000 goal.

Her mother Margaret Collins passed away in February and the business has been temporarily closed since then. Collins ran the finances for the business.

Sailor began baking specialty muffins from her home in 1996 and began selling them wholesale to coffee houses, delis & gas stations in Youngstown and Pittsburgh.

A few years later, Kristin and her mother partnered together to create Maggie's Magic Muffin House on Southern Boulevard.

"So many of us have such happy memories at the MMM," Sailor wrote. "I don't want this magic to disappear."

The GoFundMe page has more than $2,000 so far.
