The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced plans for a replacement project for a bridge in Mercer County.

Between now and April 24, the public is invited to view online plans for a project to replace a bridge that carries Forrester Road over Cool Spring Creek in Fairview Township. These plans can be accessed here.

Alternatively, you can submit feedback by emailing [email protected] or by calling 814-678-7353.

The bridge is located on Route 2017 between the intersection with Airport Road and the intersection with Williamson Road.

The project will include replacing the bridge with a precast concrete bridge along with minor paving near the bridge and updated guiderail and pavement markings.

The existing steel I-beam single-span bridge was built in 1950 and is now classified as poor condition. Approximately 500 vehicles use the bridge per day.

Work on this project is expected to occur in the 2025 construction season.
