Scrappers offer 'sensory safe' suite at Eastwood Field

The Scrappers and the Rich Center for Autism have partnered to offer what they call a sensory safe suite for families of children with autism.
The suite is designed to offer a more calming and comfortable environment for viewers attending games. It includes amenities like interactive play displays, sensory kits, lighting options and window shades on the windows and sliding doors.
It's goal is to offer more control over the viewing environment, according to a news release from the Scrappers.
The suite includes 12 game tickets and three parking passes for each game.
Families will be able to request game dates and tickets in advance, courtesy of the Rich Center for Autism.
An application to request tickets can be found here.
Both organizations also partnered for special jerseys the team will be wearing in honor of Autism Awareness Night, which is Saturday, June 8 against the Fredrick Keys.
They will be auctioned off at a later date and all proceeds will go to the center.
