Former NFL star O.J. Simpson has died at the age of 76.

According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Simpson died after a battle with prostate cancer on Wednesday April 10. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Simpson played for the Buffalo Bills from 1969 to 1977 and the San Fransisco 49ers from 1978 to 1979.

Simpson is also known for standing trial between 1994 and 1995 for the alleged double-murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown-Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. He was found not guilty of the murder.
