Just after 3:15 a.m., a large tree fell across McCollum Road, closing the road just east of South Belle Vista Avenue in Youngstown. According to FirstEnergy, 59 customers were still in the dark at 4:30 a.m.
Bristol and Farmington Township had 43 outages, while five outages were reported by the utility in Unity Township, Columbiana County.
First Energy estimated that power would be back on by 6:30 a.m.
The largest outage reported as of 4:30 a.m. was in Mercer County where 238 homes and businesses didn’t have power in Sharpsville. Penn Power estimates electricity will be back on before noon Friday.
