Greenville man accused of striking girlfriend's three-year-old daughter, bruising her

GREENVILLE, Pa. - A Greenville man is accused endangering children after police say he struck his girlfriend's three-year-old daughter.
According to a criminal complaint, the incident occurred April 10 when a woman left her daughter with her boyfriend, identified as 31-year-old Timothy Zachrich at his house while she went to work.
During work, police say the child's mother received a text message from Zachrich telling her the child was acting up and that she "can't baby these kids no more."
Police say at one point after the child got back home with her mother, the mother observed severe bruising on the child's buttocks, as well as a red mark on her face.
The child told her mother that Zachrich had struck her with police observing the bruises and red mark mentioned above.
Police spoke with Zachrich who told officers he was babysitting the child and she was acting up and continuing to make the same mistakes three to four days in a row so he spanked her.
Police say Zachrich only used his hand to strike the child over her diaper. Zachrich was placed under arrest because the child was not his according to the complaint.
Zachrich was arraigned in court April 11 and is due back for a preliminary hearing April 25.
