Café Rosé, a specialty retail coffee shop in Austintown, is hosting a clothing and personal hygiene item collection through the end of April to benefit Potential Development.

Potential Development is a Pre-K through 12th grade school for children with autism that provides students with a safe, structured education that empowers them with the skills to reach their fullest potential in life.

The business is accepting:

  • Gently worn business casual and men's clothing,
  • New socks
  • Underwear
  • Travel size hygiene items

These items will help stock the school's clothing closet, which provides students with access to basic care supplies, as well as clothing suitable for the work force.

"Part of Café Rosé's mission is to support the community; without the support of our community, we could never have gotten this far with our business," said Leah Sakacs, Co-Owner of Café Rosé. "Supporting Potential Development is especially important to us because we have seen the real difference the school makes in the lives of our family members. My nephew has grown and learned so much at Potential Development! And, as a community, we are fortunate to have a school like Potential Development that is able to provide all of its students the unique support they need to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom."

Items may be dropped off Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.; Saturday from noon – 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon – 4:00 p.m.
