A 43-year-old Youngstown man is under arrest after an underage girl told deputies he had “inappropriate” pictures of her on his mobile phone.

That’s how the alleged victim described the images when she met with Mahoning County Sheriff’s investigators at the local Children Services office late last month.

The girl, whose age is not included on the investigative report, told deputies that Damaris Grant was keeping several pictures of her taken in vehicles around Youngstown, and at a home on Alameda Avenue.

The report does elaborate on the content of the photos. Nor does it explain the circumstances under which the pictures were taken, or how Grant obtained them.

The girl told investigators that Grant stored the images in a private photo vault app known as Keepsafe.

A felony charge of pandering obscenity involving a minor filed in Youngstown Municipal Court accuses Grant of possessing obscene material that has a minor as a participant.

Grant was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday and remains in the county jail awaiting arraignment.
