It's almost time for a day of local music, arts, vendors and family entertainment in Downtown Youngstown.

Youngstown State University's Penguin Productions will be hosting the 10th Annual Federal Frenzy Music and Arts Festival Saturday April 27 from 2:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. in Downtown Youngstown.

The event will take place on East Federal Street in and around Penguin City Brewing Company. The event is absolutely free and tickets are not required to attend.

Folks are encouraged to park in the Wick Avenue Parking Deck on YSU's campus. From there, a shuttle service will run on a continuous loop from the McDonough Museum of Art on Wick Avenue to the site of the event. The shuttle will run between 1:00 p.m. and midnight.

Parking is free for YSU students with a parking pass. Non-students will have to pay $5 in cash to park in the deck.

East Federal Street will be closed from Andrews Avenue to Wilson Avenue beginning at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and will reopen 2:00 a.m. Sunday.

The festival will feature 26 bands across four stages with the headliner being Nashville-based alternative rock act Bully, who has opened for bands including Pixies, Jawbreaker and The Mountain Goats.

The stages include the YSU Penguin Productions Main Stage on East Federal Street, The Summit FM Stage in the Penguin City Brewing Parking Lot, The Jambar Student Media Stage in the PCB Pollock Ballroom inside Penguin City Brewing and the Platt! Stage in the Penguin City Taproom.

A complete list of bands including the times they play and which stages they will play on is pictured below.

Federal Frenzy will have more than just music though. There will also be a local vendor market on East Federal Street between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. courtesy of the Youngstown Flea.

Additionally, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities, food trucks, an appearance from the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor to display a portion of the William B. Pollock Exhibit and much more.
