BOARDMAN, Ohio - Officers with the Boardman Police Department found themselves on Wilda Avenue for the second time in less than a month for a dog attack.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched to a home just a few houses from where another dog attack happened earlier in April just after 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police responded to a 911 call with the caller simply yelling for help. Upon arrival, they found no trouble, but due to the recent attack, they checked out the home the previous attack occurred at.

Police observed a trail of blood coming out of the front door, down the sidewalk and into the driveway. Even more blood was found inside the home.

Police spoke with the owner who said his dog "does not like gloves and stuff like that" and attacked his brother without provocation.

The owner was able to stop the dog and placed it in a cage in the basement before taking his brother to the hospital for treatment.

Police later spoke to the owner's brother in the hospital who told officers after the two took the dog for a walk, the two were sitting in the living room talking while the dog was lying down on the floor.

Police say when the owner's brother got up to go to the bathroom, he walked past the dog who jumped up and started biting his foot followed by his hand.

No charges have been filed at this time.
