A Newton Township will see some time behind bars after pleading guilty to a felony count of endangering children on Tuesday.

Alicia Budreaux, 32, was sentenced to 30 days in jail followed by probation.

The sentencing stems from an incident where Budreaux left five children alone in a poorly heated mobile home on Kings Drive.

One of them, was just one year old, which is where the endangering children charge stems from.

The one year old was suffering from hypothermia, according to prosecutors.

In terms of sentencing, Budreaux could have faced three years in prison for her crime.
