An 18-year-old has been indicted and will be tried as an adult in connection with a shooting at an Austintown back in September when he was still a juvenile.

According to a grand jury report 18-year-old Ethan Richmond was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday on one count of voluntary manslaughter and one count of felonious assault, both with three-year firearm specifications.

The charges stem from the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Vincent Tarver who was shot several times near his apartment on Compass West Drive in Austintown back in September of 2023.

Another woman was wounded in the shooting and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Witnesses told police they heard people arguing about 10 minutes prior to shots being fired. 

Richmond was 17 years old at the time of the shooting.

According to court records, Richmond's bond is set at $500,000. No court date has been set for him at this time.
