The jury has reached a verdict in the felonious assault trial of a Youngstown man accused of shooting a man several times in Warren.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, Danny Lee Isom, 41, was found guilty of shooting 44-year-old Eddie Pearce multiple times on August 25, 2023 in Warren.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on one count of Felonious Assault with a three-year firearm specification on Wednesday, May 8 at 1:30 p.m.

Pearce was hospitalized with major injuries after the shooting.

Over the course of two, prosecutors called eight witnesses to the stand, including Pearce, who identified Isom as the shooter.

Another witness also testified that they were a passenger in Isom's car when they arrived at the 1900 block of Hazelwood Avenue to shoot Pearce.

Pearce's cousin, who administered first aid at the scene also testified Monday, and officer body cam footage was shown to the jury.

Detectives testified to finding five shell casings and a trail of blood in the parking lot area near where the shooting took place.

Another detective testified that he found the gun used in the shooting while searching Isom's vehicle during a traffic stop, as well as a forensic scientist with BCI who tied the shell casings found at the scene to the gun found in Isom's vehicle.

Isom could face two to 12 years in prison, plus an additional three years for a firearm that was used in the commission of the felony.
