Scrappers: MLB extends commitment to Draft League through 2030 season

The league also hopes to expand by two teams in the coming years

Major League Baseball announced that the MLB Draft League, which the Scrappers are part of, has been extended through the 2020 season.

The founding members, Mahoning Valley, Frederick, State College, Trenton, West Virginia and Williamsport will remain and the league is hoping to expand by two teams in the coming years.

Since its founding in 2021, the draft league has had more than 230 players sign with MLB organizations.

The 2024 season for the six teams begins June 4.
