ODOT proposes rehabilitation of Bazetta Township bridge

BAZETTA TWP., Ohio - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has proposed a rehabilitation project for a Bazetta Township bridge.
According to a press release, ODOT is looking to rehabilitate the bridge on State Route 46 over Big Run approximately 400 feet north of Cadwallader Sonk Road in Bazetta Township.
The project, which is currently in its engineering phase will consist of replacing the existing concrete bridge beams and deck, along with the roadway approach slabs, guardrail, structure identification signs and pavement markings.
The cost of the project is $1,197,648 and it is scheduled to begin construction between spring and summer of 2025.
During the construction period, SR-46 will be closed at the project site for up to 45 days. The detour will utilize SR-305, SR-11 and SR-82. A local traffic detour will also be established for emergency and public service vehicles.
Access to local businesses schools and properties will be maintained during construction. Signage will indicate lane restrictions, road closures and detour information during construction time.
ODOT is seeking any comments and concerns from the public on this project. Folks will have until July 3 to submit their comments for consideration and can do so by reaching out to Sean Carpenter at 330-786-2274 or sen.carpenter@dot.ohio.gov.
