Coroner rules death of woman in Austintown parking lot accidental

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning County Coroner has issued his ruling on the death of a woman hit by a car in an Austintown plaza back in December.
Employees with the Mahoning County Coroner's Office confirmed with 21 News that the death of 68-year-old Gina Seelbaugh was accidental blunt force trauma.
Seelbaugh died back in December when she was walking in the parking lot of the Weston Center plaza on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown when she fell down and got hit by a car.
Crews had to pull her out from underneath the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Police described this incident as a "freak accident" stating that there were no signs of impairment or speeding.
"The thing is the guy wasn't speeding. He was only pulling out of the parking spot doing two to three miles per hour per witnesses," said Austintown Police Lieutenant Tom Collins.
