This year's local theme is "Righteous Among the Nations." A memorial candle lighting ceremony honored the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust took place during the event.
Local leaders set aside time to remember all the victims of the Holocaust, and share stories and messages of hope.
"People are being dehumanized across the globe, and we cannot let rampant antisemitism to take our eyes away from evil that is growing in the world," said Rabbi Joseph Schonberger during a speech at the event.
Winners of the Jewish Community Relations Council's student Holocaust writing and multimedia contest were also recognized at the event.
