Walmart shoppers in Grove City will soon be treated to a newly-remodeled store.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Walmart located at 1566 W. Main Street Ext. in Grove City along with the unveiling of a community-inspired mural.

The mural is part of Walmart's Community Mural Program.

Additionally, the store will present a total of $6,000 in charitable grants to local non-profits including $2,500 to the Mercer County Sheriff's Association, $2,000 to the Lakeview Area Public Library and $1,500 to the Grove City Area Pet Rescue.

New additions to the store include:

- More customer stalls for grocery pickup and delivery

- A new mural representing Grove City's community

- An expanded pharmacy with new private screening rooms

- Expanded departments with a diverse variety of products including gluten-free groceries and an expanded bakery rack

- An updated clothing department with new fixtures, fitting rooms and product lines

- An expanded and updated electronics department with more demo products

- An expanded pet department including fresh pet food selection

- Refreshed interior and exterior including paint and signage

- New fixtures and LED lighting throughout the store for better line of sight and easier navigation

- Modernized remodeled restrooms

- A new mother's room for a clean, comfortable and private option for nursing mothers

- Activated corners displays featured in the corners of certain departments to help pull customers in

- Displays showcasing products out of their boxes so customers can get a better feel for how to incorporate a product in their daily lives

- New digital touchpoints to communicate the stores products and services through the use of QR codes and digital screens.
