A Youngstown man could potentially spend the rest of his life behind bars for raping multiple victims over multiple decades.

Mahoning County Prosecutor Gina DeGenova tells 21 News 55-year-old Robert Tullio was sentenced to 44-and-a-half years to life in prison on three counts of rape and 10 counts of gross sexual imposition.

DeGenova says Tullio's conduct started in the late 90s and continued into the early 2000s across three victims.

DeGenova tells us the first victim came forward in 2022 in reference to conduct from around 2020. Following news reports of this victim's story, two more victims came forward with stories of their experiences with Tullio.

All three victims were minors at the time of the offenses.

Degenova says she's very pleased with this sentence stating that the victims and their families can finally have a sense of closure and that others are now safe from future sexual contact with Tullio.
